WELCOME!
The gentlemen of the Diamond State Chorus enjoy singing, good fellowship, and
working together to improve our singing and showmanship skills. The Chorus
rehearses each Monday night at the Pleasant Valley Church of Christ, on Rodney
Parham Road just west of I-430, from 7:00 to 10:00 pm. VISITORS
are always welcome! Come sing with us or just enjoy the rehearsal!
We have music for your use, and plenty of encouragement and help reading the part,
if you don't read music (many of us don't). If you prefer to sit and listen,
that's fine too. WHAT
IS BARBERSHOP SINGING?
It's a capella (no instruments), close 4-part harmony with the melody in the second
voice part. The voices are (from the top) tenor, lead, baritone, and bass.
Songs range from the treasured gems from the early part of the 20th century, up
through modern tunes re-written for the barbershop style. For
